H1N1 Swine Flu
A strategic and independent review of the UK response to swine flu has today been announced by the four UK Health Ministers. The review is to be chaired by Dame Deirdre Hine and will be supported by staff from the Cabinet Office and the health departments. Emergency Planning College Courses in Northern Ireland
These courses are delivered in Northern Ireland by Emergency Planning Solutions in association with the Emergency Planning College.
With a new year of training courses about to begin, Emergency Planning Solutions Ltd (EPS) is pleased to offer you a preview of courses planned for 2009/2010.
Continuing the success of last year's popular courses, EPS will again be providing a broad range of the Cabinet Office's Emergency Planning College courses.

Pandemic Influenza
The Department of Health and the Civil Contingencies Secretariat of the Cabinet Office published update guidance on planning for Pandemic Influenza in November 2007. This is available from the UK Resilience section of the Cabinet Office website

National Recovery Working Group Guidance
The National Recovery Working Guidance
has been produced by the National Recovery Working Group over a period of nine months, as commissioned by TIDO (Prepare). The guidance contains a wealth of material on good practice and case studies aiming to provide a single point of reference to local responders dealing with the recovery phase of an emergency. The guidance will be periodically reviewed to ensure that it meets the needs of local responders.
Northern Ireland Civil Contingencies Framework 15 November 2005
The Northern Ireland Civil Contingencies Framework (PDF 1.03 MB) has been published. The Framework sets out the high-level principles on which public service organisations should base their civil contingencies activities.
