FOI Conference
The Central FOI team organised a Freedom of Information (FOI) conference in association with the Chief Executives' Forum. It was held on Thursday,
23 November 2006 in the Park Avenue Hotel, Belfast, and was attended by over 70 delegates from the Northern Ireland Departments and the wider public sector. John Hunter, Permanent Secretary, DFP, made the opening remarks, which were followed by presentations from Richard Thomas, Information Commissioner, Belinda Crowe, Head of Information Rights Division, Department for Constitutional Affairs and John Angel, Chair, Information Tribunal. The conference concluded with a Table Discussion that focussed on the question: 'Does FOI help or hinder Good Government?'
