Mainstream Capital Projects Scheme
The Community Relations Unit has a small capital programme which aims to support the provision of community based facilities, including fixtures, fittings, furniture and equipment, accessible by both sides of the community, which are sponsored either by District Councils or accredited organisations from the community and voluntary sector.
A Selection Committee was held on 9 February 2005 to consider 8 applications for financial assistance under the Community Relations Unit’s Capital Programme. The total amount sought was £473,582: the funding available for the year 2005/2006 was approximately £200k.
Awards were made to each of the following organisations –
- Altnaveigh Trust - £50k
- Ballynahinch Regeneration Ltd (Phase 2) - £50k
- Bright Community Association - £75k
- Killyrammer Community Centre - £65k
