EU Programme for Peace and Reconciliation in NI and Border Counties of Ireland 2000-04 (Peace ll) Previous Awards
The Community Relations Unit has responsibility for Measure 2.1 of the Peace II Programme, ‘Reconciliation for Sustainable Peace’. Its main aim is to promote reconciliation and help to build a more peaceful and stable society. The Peace Programme is implemented by a number of bodies: government departments, non-governmental organisations, known as Intermediary Funding Bodies and Local Strategy Partnerships and County Council Led Task Forces, based on local council areas.
Following on from a previous round of awards in respect of community relations capital projects under Measure 2.1 in 2002, it was reopened for further applications for a 4-week period in September 2004 in order to make final awards.
