Sustainable Development Masterclass 12th March 2007

Sustainable Development Unit held a seminar on ‘Driving Investment through Sustainable Development’ to an invited audience of Senior Civil Servants and executives from the business community at the Culloden Hotel on 12th March 2007.

The Masterclass, given by John Cridland, Deputy Director General of the CBI and Peter Hetherington of the Academy for Sustainable Communities to the Senior Civil Service, marks the opening of a comprehensive programme of sustainable development training by OFMDFM.

John Cridland outlined the wealth of economic opportunities that sustainable development offers companies while Peter Hetherington explained to the audience how sustainable communities and a skilled workforce are critical to achieving the objectives of the Government and business.
