Cross Sector Advisory Forum
As part of the December package, the First Minister and deputy First Minister established a Cross Sector Advisory Forum(CSAF) to continue their dialogue with business, trade unions and voluntary and community stakeholders.
The CSAF is an informal and ad hoc advisory group which meets under the chair of the First Minister and deputy First Minister to review the local impact of the current economic downturn on local people and businesses. The purpose of the group shall be to make recommendations for addressing problems arising from the economic crisis.
The Forum comprises 30 members and a current complement of 9 Ministers and 2 Junior Ministers.

Cross Sector Advisory Forum Sub-Groups
To ensure that the future work programme is manageable and grounded in practical considerations it was agreed to establish six sub-groups to take forward distinctive strands of work.

The Executive's Priority Measures to Deal with the Economic Downturn
In parallel with the work of CSAF, the Economic Development Forum (EDF) also brought forward recommendations on how best to address the economic crisis. The paper below brings together the work of both the CSAF and the EDF and associated recommendations generated by departments to produce a consolidated statement of measures to address the downturn.
