Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe (CLRAE)
CLRAE was established in 1994 to act as the voice of Europe’s regions and municipalities in the Council of Europe. It provides a forum to allow local and regional elected representatives to effectively participate in European government. The Congress consists of both a Chamber of Regions and a Chamber of Local Authorities comprising elected representatives from over 200,000 local and regional authorities in the Council of Europe’s 46 member states.
Who represents us?
Northern Ireland has one full member in the regional chamber, Mr Sean Neeson MLA, as well as a substitute member in the local chamber, Alderman Jim Dillon.
