The project was led by Derry City Council on behalf of Coleraine, Limavady, Magherafelt and Strabane Local Councils, Local Strategy Partnerships and Leader+ groups.
The project’s aim was to bring the North West closer to Europe by creating a network of information, expertise, research and knowledge on European issues, by implementing a series of collaborative projects with other regions in Europe and developing local capacity to identify development opportunities for the Northwest region beyond the current round of EU funding.

The project was led by the Northern Ireland Business and Innovation Centre (NORIBIC) based in Derry.
The project’s aim was to provide hands on support for local companies to identify global opportunities and partners that will provide them with competitive advantage, to proactively seek out opportunities for growth, to establish joint venture opportunities, or technology transfer opportunities into and out of Northern Ireland.
Linkages were established with over 160 Business Innovation Centres across the EBIC member countries (20).

The project was led by Enterprise NI (ENI) to develop sustainable partnerships between ENI and similar enterprise networks in Republic of Ireland, UK and Europe.
The project’s aim was to support network development through exchange of best practice; direct staff study visits; development of electronic media to facilitate information exchange, dissemination of information on a European level on issues, facilitate contact between micro-businesses in Northern Ireland with export opportunities in Europe as a means of improving competitiveness and accessing new markets.
Linkages were established with France, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Estonia, Serbia and Ireland.

The project was led by the Fermanagh Trust in conjunction with the Fermanagh Local Strategy Partnership Board and involves local community activists on a cross-community basis.
The project’s aim was to focus on the development of sustainable social enterprises, partnership working and the community foundation model in County Fermanagh through learning from other regions by engaging in networking activities to explore international best practice.
Linkages were established with Sweden, Ireland and the USA.

This project was led by Belfast City Council as part of the Comet strategy to facilitate enhanced collaboration between the Councils and Local Strategy Partnerships of the Belfast Metropolitan area: Belfast, Carrickfergus, Castlereagh, Lisburn, Newtownabbey and North Down.
The project’s aims were to support links with other European Regions to facilitate the exchange of best practice in the context of approaches to economic, social, urban development and local governance.
Linkages were established with Valencia in Spain, Rybnik in Poland, Stockholm in Sweden and Vilnius in Lithuania.
